Hi, seeking a way to participate in 2026 PC. Not caught up on what "participate" means as long as I'm learning how to cross oceans safely and efficiently. I'm a decent sailor who owned and raced laser, a J/24, and a Viper 640. I crewed on a Frers 50 for many years mostly to doing mast/midship stuff and raced in one port/mack race with them. I've bareboat chartered quite a bit so I feel I understand some of the things needed to keep a crew in good shape.
I've competed in 2 America's Cups and still support SailGP. I specialize in obscure hydrofoiling systems, hydraulics, and electronics so most of my knowledge is pretty irrelevant to 99% of sailing. I would hesitate to bring this up(because I am known to push the tiller the wrong way when tacking and my spin sets often look like a grooms tie) but I do know a lot of really smart/good people in the industry and know how professional sailing teams operate so those would be of value to a team I help.
Thanks for considering me and looking forward to learning about your boat/crew. -Jonathan
