I am interested in ocean sailing crew opportunities on any boat with a competent and safety-minded crew. I completed the 2022 and 2024 Pac Cup on the Wauquiez Centurian 42, Chance, and am looking forward to more ocean sailing. I can’t get enough driving in the ocean. In the 2024 Pac Cup race I was the Watch Captain for a team of three and co-Navigator for the boat.
I am experienced in racing with both symmetrical and asymmetrical spinnakers in positions all around the boat. I have my own gear and have the International Offshore Safety at Sea Course with Hands-on Training Certification.
I am easy going, level headed, I learn quickly, and I work well with others. I have no special dietary needs, allergies, or medical conditions. I don't smoke or do drugs, though a drink after a great day of sailing is appreciated.
In the 2022 and 2024 Pacific Cup races I learned and used Expedition and Ventus for navigation. In preparation for and during the race I ran Expedition routings, developed polars, sail crossovers, competition tracking, and using Ventus to display Expedition data in the cockpit. I am willing to do any job needed to help the crew succeed: provisioning, boat preparation, or boat repairs.
