Gem

Gem is a new recently launched Wylie 80.  Gem is a collaboration between builder Steve Rander (who will be doing Pac Cup on Gem) and designer Tom Wylie, the same team that created the Wylie 70  Rage.  Rage has been a frequent participant in the Pac Cup and set two elapsed time records (1994 and 1996). Many of the Gem team are from the Rage sailing family.   There are also welcome new faces bringing a great deal of ocean experience including high level international racing experience.   For many of us Pac Cup is our favorite race and we are looking forward to the fun race to Hawaii again.
